Prickett:

safeguard compliance?

We go through the beer policies,
specifically, with each individual
that runs a cash register. The
store manager is responsible for
that.

Sisk:

Give me a synopsis. I'm going to be
a cashier, tell me what I should and
should not know about beer
compliance.

Prickett:

I don't have the precise rules with
me. There are certain hours that we
cannot sell beer. We cannot sell
beer to anyone under the age of 21
years of age. We card anyone who
appears to be 25 or younger to make
sure we are in compliance.

Sisk asked if there is a sign-off sheet to sign after they go
through this procedure.

Prickett:

Sisk:

Prickett:

Yes. Employees go through a review
in the training twice a year.

In the last 12 months, have any of
the stores under you had their
license suspended for selling liquor
to underage individuals?

I have had one situation in
Thornton. The individual was given
a week suspension along with being
fined.

Sisk:

How many King Soopers stores are
there in the State of Colorado?

Prickett:

Currently, 66 stores.

Sisk:

How many in the last year have been
cited for selling beer to the
underage?

Weishaupl:

I think there were two or three.

Davidson moved that the complete application filed with the City by
Dillon Companies, Inc., a copy of which has been made available to
each member of the Council, be made a part of the record of this
hearing. Seconded by Lathrop. All in favor.
