City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />01/17/17 <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />Finance Committee Member Stolzmann asked Director Neves if the Recreation <br />Center will be on Tyler. Director Neves stated that he needed to review the data <br />sets and reporting abilities contained in the current RecTrack system. Finance <br />Committee Members agreed that a dashboard report for the Recreation Center <br />will also be needed when available. <br />The reports and corresponding narrative can be located in the January 17, 2017 <br />packet of the Finance Committee Meeting. <br />FISCAL IMPACT MODEL <br />Planning Director Rob Zuccaro and Finance Committee Members continued <br />discussions regarding the assumptions being used in the Fiscal Impact Model. <br />The sales tax revenue assumptions used in the Model were reviewed. It was <br />agreed by Finance Committee Members and staff that the Model was properly <br />projecting sales tax revenue within the McCaslin Small Area Plan. Chairperson <br />Stolzmann stated that it would be helpful to see ranges of square footage and <br />sales tax revenue. Director Zuccaro stated that he could provide low, medium <br />and high ranges or a percentage above or below the mid -point in the future. <br />Member Stolzmann stated she believed retail sales of $137 per square foot could <br />be used across-the-board. <br />Finance Committee Member Maloney asked Director Zuccaro if these latest <br />updates had been incorporated into the Fiscal Analysis of the McCaslin Small <br />Area Plan. Director Zuccaro stated it had, and that he would email the analysis <br />to the Finance Committee Members. <br />Member Stolzmann asked Director Zuccaro to find out what factors or <br />assumptions are driving the consumer use tax outputs produced in the Fiscal <br />Impact Model. <br />The narrative can be located in the January 17, 2017 packet of the Finance <br />Committee Meeting. <br />SALES TAX REPORT FOR THE MONTH ENDED NOVEMBER 30, 2016 <br />Penney Bolte, Tax Manager, presented to the Committee the monthly sales tax <br />reports for the period ended November 30, 2016. <br />The reports and corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the <br />January 17, 2017 Finance Committee Meeting. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2016 <br />5 <br />
