Sisk: Davidson: If we're going to do this on Dahlia, are we going to ask City Staff to do it all over the City? Is this going to be a review of any and all right- of-ways the City owns? We've made a considered decision and we've also given City staff the right to issue (INAUDIBLE). It's not as if Dr. Stein has not had a chance to utilize our administrative services. Dahlia Street is a poorly designed collector street and we've allowed a school to be built on it. It is already a relatively dangerous street. I would really like to see if we really need that width. If we don't, I would rather just vacate it. Hornbostel: Stein: It's not just the width of the street and whether you widen the street. You have a lot of kids out there. You may want to widen the sidewalks. You may want to make it so that the kids are further away from the street for safety. I think that the staff has already given us a recommendation. If they thought that this was justifiable, then they would have granted it themselves. I don't feel like I can support having that. As far as the street being widened, not being able to see that far into the future, I feel like we shouldn't give that. The reason I brought this to City Council rather than going with staff's recommendation was that staff wouldn't come out there and go over this problem with me. The only person that came out was Kirk. The only thing he said was 15 ft. from the corner of my property. I am only asking for a Revocable License in the sense that if you need to widen the street or you have problems putting in a sign post, sidewalks, or utilities, I'm perfectly willing to take down sections of my fence and move it. 14
