Sisk asked how Father Don was going to deal with the increased traffic, when the children are dropped off and picked up. Willette: There is a half a block from the alley to the corner for pick-up and it's curb parking, so there is plenty of room there. Public Works recommended that we tear out the old drive-way and put a curb in there, so that it's a safe place for pick- up and delivery. We also could use the alley or the grade school. We have a policy with the grade school, where parents come into the alley and drive from South to North on the west side of the school. We could also ask parents to use not just the front on the south side, but also use the alley. Sisk was more concerned about the converging traffic in terms of the daycare children, as opposed to the grade school children, because of the fact that you're going to be adding children in that area. Willette: Nearly all of the traffic for the daycare and the pre-school is at 6:00 a.m. The grade school traffic is at 8:30 a.m. The grade school is out at 3:00 p.m. and the pre-school and daycare go until 6 - 6:30 p.m. There is the half day, which is at the noon hour. Sisk: Is 24 months a reasonable estimation as far as this temporary use is concerned? Willette: The Archdiocese of Denver has approved Phase 1, which required that we had to upgrade and bring up to Code the basement of the grade school. That's $80 - $90, 000.00 to put the sprinkler system in and re- wire it all, to put in one hour burn time walls in the fire corridor, and re-hab the plumbing. By spring, the next phase is to put the addition on the north side of the grade school for the pre-school and replace the modular. 5
