Cultural Council
Meeting Minutes
16 March 2017
Page 2of4
Chair's Update - Jennifer Strand (Chair) is also working on SCFD grant with
Gina Barton. There is a different form this year and they are writing the final
report back to SCFD. With reference to counting the number of volunteers, it is
the summation of the number of volunteers per event (even if same person, if two
events, counts as two volunteers) - 411 volunteers for LCC staff in 2016. The
total number of volunteers is 1654, with 6627 attendees to events. Will start
implementing event sheets to count attendees formally.
Ms Strand also discussed the new city council policy. City changes will result in
restructuring of LCC to separate 501 c3 and city. In order to adhere to changes,
the LCC will likely have an expected resulting subcommittee of -3 people to sort
through issue. Ultimately, the LCC can only have 2 members overlap on 501c3
board. Eventual LCC subcommittee will write report on impacts, pros/cons to
present circumstances.
2017 Programming/Calendar Review
a. Past:
a.
