Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />16 March 2017 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Further discussion surrounding costs of performers. Adam said paying <br />$450/show for sound, most others would be $1000. Reached out to the <br />bands and they were amenable. Opening bands are primarily in-kind. <br />Possibly budgeted $7950. Opening bands will do 20 minutes and then <br />main stage is 60 minutes with no break. Food trucks work with city and <br />money goes to the city (not LCC). Discussion on committed food trucks <br />and plans. Had a lot of good connections for future summer concert <br />series. <br />d. Fall <br />a. Alfredo Muro — Jennifer to lead <br />b. Fran Bagenal — Liz to lead <br />c. Stories on Stage — After small discussion, Sean to lead. <br />d. Altius — Jennifer to lead <br />e. 10/13 — Erin will lead and put together space event. <br />f. 9/15 —Jennifer releasing as Alfredo Muro is that Sunday <br />g. 9/29 — Releasing - three events in a row <br />h. Will discuss future dates at the end. <br />i. Silent movie day in 11/11 is solid — Tammy is lead. Needs film title <br />as soon as <br />j. Sean discussed Coal Creek Theater dress rehearsal benefit. After <br />discussion, decided no benefit to change date and will likely cancel. <br />Marketing and Communication <br />a. Discussion on marketing for summer concerts. Blake to recycle theme of <br />summer poster from 2016. Adam and Erin to work on press release. <br />Multiple LCC members offered to MC summer concerts. <br />b. Facebook — need to allocate certain money for promoting each event. Got <br />good reaction on promoting. Reviewed money to promote. Will see <br />increase of numbers. Proposed $50 now spread over two campaigns to <br />add followers and $10 per event. Encouraged members to share events. <br />Debbie mentioned sharing to 80027 and 80026. Accepting proposed funds <br />and Adam will review for the month. Gina to look at the budget to see <br />what's available. Current money is $70. Proposed by Adam, seconded by <br />Sean. <br />c. Outreach liaison to schools — Not been successful so far. Will look at <br />options to change strategy. Tammy will reach out to open space people <br />and see if they would want to do an event. Debbie asked about poster <br />distribution list. Gina recommended posters to put on Arts Center <br />City Update — Katie Zoss — <br />• Put together events for calendar. Need to get basic information for website <br />etc, for a base calendar listing in order to have all information available for <br />marketing and outreach. Went into details on these calendars. Katie <br />happy to take charge and might ask for help. Adam, Blake and Debbie <br />added suggestions for online/local calendars. Katie suggested cross - <br />marketing for other groups — tag other organizations/groups to get to their <br />-- For review -- <br />
