Louisville City Council Organizational Meeting <br />January 12, 2004 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS TO COUNCIL COMMITTEES <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> · <br /> <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> · <br /> <br />Sisk made the following appointments to the Council Committees: <br />Council Finance Committee - Sisk, Van Pelt and Marsella <br />Boulder Consortium of Cities - Brown, Alternate Keany <br />DRCOG - Brown, Alternate Sisk <br />Senior Advisory Board Representative - Levihn <br />Legal Review Committee - Sisk, Brown, and Keany <br />Library Board of Trustees Liaison - Marsella <br />Water Committee - Levihn, Clabots and Van Pelt <br />McCaslin Interchange Improvement - Sisk, Levihn and Van Pelt <br />Louisville Housing Authority - Marsella <br />RTD Representative - Clabots <br />Youth Advisory Board Liaison - Keany, Alternate Van Pelt <br />Business Retention & Development Committee - Brown, Keany and Levihn <br />Louisville Resource Conservation Advisory Board Liaison - Clabots <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reported on the following: <br /> <br />· The Legal Committee met to review and discuss the Municipal Judge and <br /> Prosecutor's compensation. Said compensation is set by ordinance. Staff will <br /> forward an ordinance to Council for their approval. <br />· The recruitment for Finance Director continues. Over forty applications have <br /> been received. Interviews will begin on January 13, 2004 and continue through <br /> next week. <br />· Eleven architectural frans have submitted proposals for the new library. The City <br /> has received an AA- rating for the sale of the library bonds on January 21, 2003. <br /> He explained this is a better rating than the City has received in the past. <br /> <br />Simmons spoke on behalf of the entire City Staff pledging their continued commitment <br />and dedication to serve City Council, the business community and the citizens of the City <br />of Louisville. <br /> <br />Simmons introduced and welcomed Carol Hanson, Deputy City Clerk. Hanson began her <br />employment with the City in October of 2003 and has a background in municipal <br />government. Her previous work experience includes the Northglenn Municipal Court <br />and the Town of Superior's Utility Billing Department.
