Award Bid for 2004 Centrifuge Dewatering Equipment to Alfa Laval Authorize State Bid to Purchase a 4x4 Dodge Dakota Pickup - IVater Treatment Plant Approve cancellation of March 23 & March 30, City Council Study Sessions PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Mayor Susan Spence and Trustee Larry Kock, representing the Superior Town Board of Trustees, addressed their concern relative to the McCaslin Interchange and RTD Park-n- Ride improvements. The Superior Board of Trustees voiced concern that significant progress has not been made on the IGA. They recommended that two Council representatives from each community join Staff in their meetings to expedite the discussions. Trustee Larry Kock stated Superior would like to discuss the issues to proceed with the project. Mayor Sisk stated he had discussions With Mayor Spence relative to the administrative staffing cost of $317, 231. He viewed that as the impediment to the agreement, and noted that was not a part of the original agreement. City Manager Bill Simmons reviewed the number of joint meetings held between the Louisville and Superior Staff members on the draft of the Interchange Agreement Mayor Spence explained there were two IGA's in question, the Biella/Menkick and the McCaslin Interchange IGA. She asked that two Council representatives be appointed to join Staff in their meetings on the McCaslin Interchange IGA. Mayor Sisk stated the matter was not an agenda item, and further discussion would be inappropriate. Ken DeVilbiss, Scout Master, stated the members of Boy Scout Troop 63 are earning the Citizenship in the Community merit badge and would like to comment and make recommendation on a hazardous intersection in Louisville. A Boy Scout member of Troop 63 read a letter, which outlined their concern for the safety of the crosswalk on the comer of Via Appia between Griffith and Lafayette Streets, and South Boulder Road. 2
