All in <br />favor. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1447, SERIES 2004 - AN ORDINANCE ZONING PROPERTY <br />ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND KNOWN AS THE PICKETT <br />PROPERTY- 1st reading - set public hearing 4/20/04 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1447, Series 2004. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Ordinance No. 1447, Series 2004, be published and a <br />public hearing be set for April 20, 2004, seconded by Council member Van Pelt. All in <br />favor. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE SKATE BOARD PARK <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons requested the Council consider authorizing a project manager <br />contract for the Skate Board Park. He reviewed the proposed schedule and requested <br />authorization for the Mayor to negotiate a contract. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked if a delay of two weeks would affect the proposed scheduled timeline. <br />Land Management Director Cindy Lair stated Staff is in the process of compiling the bid <br />documents and requests Council consideration in the appointment of a project manager to <br />assist with the documents and the bid process. <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt voiced her preference to move forward with the process. <br />Council member Brown concurred. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons outlined the Project Manager duties, which included the <br />following: oversee the construction bid documents; pre-bid conferences; bid process; <br />review bids; pre-construction meetings; site inspections; reports; and walk-thru and final <br />acceptance. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved that Council authorize Staff to proceed with <br />the project manager contract for the Skate Board Park. Council member Keany seconded <br />the motion. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk offered a friendly amendment that the contract amount for the Skate Board <br />Park Project Manager not exceed $24,000. Council members Brown and Keany accepted <br />the amendment. <br /> <br /> <br />
