Council member Brown seconded the <br />motion. All in favor. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons asked Heather Balser, Assistant City Manager for <br />Governmental Relations, to update Council on transportation issues: <br /> <br />Balser updated Council on the following: The Northwest Corridor EIS has a new <br />realignment with 16 alternatives. The next meeting is scheduled for May 7, 2004. The <br />McCaslin Interchange funding will be distributed by DRCOG. DRCOG will host a <br />Metro Vision meeting on April 7, 2004. Council member Brown will attend the meeting. <br />The McCaslin Corridor funding is $8 Million dollars. Congressman Udall is hosting a <br />community meeting on April 14, 2004 at the Louisville Recreation Center from 6:00 to <br />7:00 p.m. The Urban Land Institute will host a conference on the US 36 Corridor on <br />April 16, 2004, at the Westin Hotel in Westminster from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The <br />citizen survey draft will be available to Council at the next work session. The survey <br />includes comprehensive plan questions. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons updated Council on the following: Staffis preparing two letters <br />to land owners, Warembourg Land Ranchers L.L.C. and Boulder County, for additional <br />land acquisitions for Community Park. The acquisition includes four acres of land and a <br />conservation easement at an estimated $134,000. The City Staff and Planning <br />Commissioner Bill McDermott interviewed three consulting firms for the Comprehensive <br />Plan. Staff is completing reference checks on the finalist. The contract recommendation <br />will be before Council at the April 20, 2004 meeting. The Community Investment Fee <br />refund process has begun and is being administered by the Planning Department. He <br />provided a written update on the progress of all capital projects and stated reports will be <br />forwarded to Council on a quarterly basis. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons outlined future work session agenda items as follows: Hotel <br />registration ordinance; parking enforcement ordinance; expired vehicle registration <br />ordinance; citizen survey; meetings with the Library Board, the Arts & Humanities Board <br />and the Housing Authority. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br /> <br />
