Pitch ford Approval of Agreement Relating to Coal Ridge Ditch Water Rights PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Shelly Reed, 561 Manorwood Lane, Louisville, CO, 80027, stated she is a freshman at Fairview High School, and a seven-year resident of Louisville. For a school project she researched pedestrian safety on the crosswalks and the bike path on Cherry Street. She noted the City of Boulder uses flashing pedestrian crosswalks and thought it would work well in Louisville. She circulated a petition on pedestrian crossing improvements along Cherry Street and collected 57 signatures. She presented the petition to Council and asked for budget consideration for pedestrian crosswalk improvements along Cherry Street. COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA None. REGULAR BUSINESS PROCLAMATION - CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS & PREVENTION MONTH Mayor Sisk proclaimed April 2004 as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month and presented the proclamation to Lori Berkshire, a Case Manager at Blue Sky Ridge. Berkshire thanked Council for proclaiming Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month and outlined the Blue Sky Ridge program. PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK Mayor Sisk read the Proclamation, proclaiming April 18 - 24, 2004, as National Library Week in Louisville and presented the proclamation to Library Board Member Alicia Maloney. Maloney thanked Council for proclaiming National Library Week, and for supporting the Louisville Library. Library Director Anne Mojo thanked Council for their continued support of the Library. She asked Children's Librarian Carol Purfurst to outline the special events. Carol Purfurst outlined the events for National Library Week at the Library and distributed bookmarks and pencils to the Mayor and City Council.
