Pitch ford <br />Approval of Agreement Relating to Coal Ridge Ditch Water Rights <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Shelly Reed, 561 Manorwood Lane, Louisville, CO, 80027, stated she is a freshman at <br />Fairview High School, and a seven-year resident of Louisville. For a school project she <br />researched pedestrian safety on the crosswalks and the bike path on Cherry Street. She <br />noted the City of Boulder uses flashing pedestrian crosswalks and thought it would work <br />well in Louisville. She circulated a petition on pedestrian crossing improvements along <br />Cherry Street and collected 57 signatures. She presented the petition to Council and asked <br />for budget consideration for pedestrian crosswalk improvements along Cherry Street. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS & PREVENTION MONTH <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk proclaimed April 2004 as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month and <br />presented the proclamation to Lori Berkshire, a Case Manager at Blue Sky Ridge. <br />Berkshire thanked Council for proclaiming Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month <br />and outlined the Blue Sky Ridge program. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk read the Proclamation, proclaiming April 18 - 24, 2004, as National Library <br />Week in Louisville and presented the proclamation to Library Board Member Alicia <br />Maloney. Maloney thanked Council for proclaiming National Library Week, and for <br />supporting the Louisville Library. <br /> <br />Library Director Anne Mojo thanked Council for their continued support of the Library. <br />She asked Children's Librarian Carol Purfurst to outline the special events. Carol Purfurst <br />outlined the events for National Library Week at the Library and distributed bookmarks <br />and pencils to the Mayor and City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
