Approval to Set a City Council Special Meeting for February 27, <br />2008 at 7:00 PM in the City council Chambers for the Bi-Annual <br />City Council Ethics Training <br />E. Proclamation - In Recognition of Jared Vigil for his Bravery, <br />Quick Thinking and Heroism in the Rescue of Another Citizen <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Annie Hughes, 1405 Garfield Court, Louisville, CO addressed a petition <br />containing signatures of resicents who wish to preserve the Louisville Middle <br />School historic facade. Many residents have worked hard to preserve the facade <br />and request Council's assistance. <br />Michael Koertje, 887 Welsh Court, Louisville, CO stated the residents feel <br />betrayed by the Boulder VallE;y School District. He noted the School's historic <br />facade is the gateway to the Ihistoric downtown area. He presented a document <br />detailing numerous issues with the School District's decision to demolish the <br />facade. He also requested Council's assistance. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Councilor Clabots announced the Louisville Senior's Heat Relief dinner will be <br />Thursday, February 21St, at the Louisville Recreation Center, where all proceeds <br />go to help defray the cost of heating bills for the needy. <br />Councilor Muckle voiced his concern over the demolition of the Louisville Middle <br />School facade and requested) this item be a future Council Agenda item. <br />Mayor Sisk confirmed the Louisville Middle School will be on a future Council <br />agenda and voiced his support for Ms. Hughes and Mr. Koertje's comments. He <br />reported Councilor Sackett broke his hip skiing on Sunday and is recovering after <br />surgery at Avista Hospital. He congratulated Councilor Yarnell who recently <br />adopted a baby girl. He reported on the transportation meetings he and <br />Assistant City Manager BalsE~r attended in Washington, D.C. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Fleming reported on the following items: <br />
