Proclamation -National Library Week <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />A representative from the Flatirons Habitat invited Council to the Colorado Builds <br />Day on Saturday, April 19, 2008, which will be held at their Boulder facility. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Councilor Yarnell reported on the success of the Poetry Slam event co- <br />sponsored by the Youth Advisory Board and the Cultural Council. She <br />commended all the poets and noted this might become an annual event. <br />Mayor Sisk reported Boulder County presented green building standards at the <br />last Resource Advisory Boarcl meeting. He also reported the City of New York did <br />not receive federal approval for $350 million dollars in transportation funding and <br />the US 36 Project is now being highly considered for federal funding. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Fleming reported on the following: The City of Louisville College <br />Scholarship applications are available at City Hall, the Recreation Center and <br />the Library. Completed applications must be submitted to the City Manager's <br />Office no later than May 5th. Mayor Sisk suggested sending applications to <br />Monarch, Centaurus, Fairvievv, Boulder and Holy Family High Schools. <br />The Historic Preservation and Economic Development Forum is scheduled for <br />May 22, 2008, 7-9 p.m., in thE: City Council Chambers. The round table <br />discussion will include speakf:rs from other municipalities, grant writers, <br />individuals who have completed historic preservation projects and economic <br />development. Mayor Sisk requested the forum be video taped. <br />Councilors were asked to RSVP to Debbie Borelli in the City Manager's office for <br />the May 7, 2008, joint meeting with the Boulder Valley School District. <br />
