City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 20, 2008 <br />Page 2 of 11 <br />D. Resolution No. 19, Series 2008 - A Resolution Approving A <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Health and Wellness <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Bonnie McCormack commended Louisville on the addition of the Farmer's <br />Market. (Councilor Yarnell arrives) <br />Peter Stewart, 1132 Jefferson Avenue, Louisville, CO commented on the event <br />Citizen's Community TV had at the Steinbaugh Pavilion over the weekend. He <br />thanked City staff for helping them get the event together and the fine facility. <br />Mayor Sisk thanked Mr. Stewart for his efforts on many fronts around the <br />community. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Sisk reported on the shopping convention he and City Manager Fleming <br />and Economic Development Consultant Becky Hogan had attended in Las <br />Vegas. He noted the slowing economic development conditions are evident <br />throughout the country. He was delighted Louisville was represented at the <br />convention. (Councilor Muckle arrives) <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />Assistant City Manager Heather Balser asked this report be moved to the end of <br />the meeting as City Manager Fleming was still traveling back from the shopping <br />convention. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />PROCLAMATION -OLDER AMERICANS MONTH <br />Mayor Sisk presented a proclamation honoring the older Americans of Boulder <br />County and proclaimed May Older Americans Month. Connie Howes of the <br />Senior Advisory Board accepted the proclamation and thanked the Council for <br />their support not only of the Board but of the senior population of Louisville. <br />Mayor Sisk thanked Councilor Clabots for his work with the Senior Advisory <br />Board. <br />PROCLAMATION - IN RECOGNITION OF GLEN TURNER FOR HIS GREAT <br />ACCOMPLISHMENT OF COMPLETING A TRANSCONTINENTAL RUN IN <br />THIRTY-SEVEN DAYS <br />
