City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 20, 2008 <br />Page 7 of 11 <br />Councilor Sackett summarized what he heard was no one opposed the project <br />but the process. He felt the applicaint had followed the process which is <br />presently in place. <br />Councilor Yarnell stated she liked tree new building, but was not thrilled with the <br />process. She wanted discussion to take place about how to do both renovation <br />and preservation. <br />Councilor Muckle urged Council to rnake the process for historic preservation <br />work better. <br />MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved t~o approve Resolution No. 21, Series 2008, <br />seconded by Councilor Clabots. All in favor. <br />Public Relations Manager Muth mentioned to Council the Historic Preservation <br />Commission is working on an Ordinance to solve the issue with the process. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1537, SERIES 2008 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CERTAIN SECTIONS OF TITLE 10 AND TITLE 17 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO REVISE THE CITY'S REGULATIONS CONCERNING <br />THE PARKING, STORAGE, AND USE OF MOTOR VEHICLES, <br />RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, TRAILERS, DUMPSTERS, ROLL-OFFS AND <br />PORTABLE STORAGE UNITS -1St Reading -set Public Hearing 6/17/08 <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney read Ordinance No. 1 ~>37, Series 2008. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 1537, Series 2008 on <br />first reading, have it sent out for publication and set a public hearing for June 17, <br />2008, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Marsella. All in favor. <br />RESOLUTION No. 22, SERIES 2008 - A RESOLUTION AMENDING A CITY <br />POLICY REGARDING REIMBURSEMENTS FOR CLEANUP AND/OR <br />RESTORATION EXPENSES RESULTING FROM SEWER BACKUP OR <br />WATER METER FAILURE <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />City Manager Fleming stated during the evening of Sunday, May 4, 2008, a <br />sewer backup occurred in the Sycamore Circle area of the City affecting eight <br />homes. City staff determined the backup was the result of a blockage in the <br />City's sewer main.
