The last date Given her
on when the new channels would come on line
was 30 days - perhaps February - would like
morE~ specifics.
Councilman Cussen Commented that additional question he had
was - why was channel 34 of the listings
discontinued? Some of the people did not
have this information readily available with
a current issue of the Louisville Times.
Mayor Meier requested that the representa-
tivc=_s from Scripps/Howard respond at this
time.
Dick Lyons, Attorney Mr. Lyons stated that Mr. Callaghan and Mr.
Representing Scripps/Howard Romano were unable to make it this evening;
however Rod Dagenais, the Assistant Engineer,
and Doug Ferguson the Director of Marketing
were in attendance. So we
were not receiving everything that was avail-
ab]_e. Scripps/Howard made the decision to
upgrade the system, turning it into an address-
ab]_e system - by replacing each converter,
which is computer operated from the main sta-
tion. This type of converter in the address-
ab7Le system (to answer Mr. Bradley's question
wa:~ it the best deal) it had to be because
there is only one on the market - that is how
new it is.
