<br />REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 4, 1984 <br />Th City Council of the City of Louisville met in regular session in the <br />C< cil Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. Mayor Meier <br />called the meeting to order at 7:33 P.M. and the following persons were <br />present: <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: Rick Luce, Susan Morris, John Leary and <br />Michael Cussen <br />ALSO PRESENT: John Rupp, Acting City Administrator <br />Curt Rautenstraus, City Attorney <br />William Hesson, City Treasurer <br />August Hioco, Director of Community Services <br />Rod Leesman, Director of Public Safety <br />Cleo Mudrock, City Clerk <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Fauson and Johnson <br />Sharon Asti-Caranci, Director of Financial Service: <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT Councilman Cussen commented that he had <br />AGENDA planned to request that Waldo's Liquor Licen~ <br />renewal be taken off the consent agenda; but <br />after speaking with Director of Public Safety <br />Leesman and the City Attorney decided to let <br />it remain on the consent agenda. <br />Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Luce seconded <br />that the consent agenda be approved. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Tom Thompson, 2455 Franklin Mr. Thompson stated that he had some con- <br />cerns on one of the Council agenda items. <br />His first concern was whether or not Council- <br />members had had an opportunity to review the <br />letter that he had provided them earlier <br />regarding the employee pay increase and <br />merit situation. Mr. Thompson commented <br />that he was not qualified to meddle in these <br />affairs; however as a citizen he was very <br />concerned about it. He asked if there were <br />any comments from the Council. <br />In reply to Mayor Meier's inquiry as to why <br />he wrote the letter, Mr. Thompson stated <br />that he worked as an electrical contractor <br />in Louisville and has an opportunity to deal <br />with a lot of the city personnel and had been <br />fortunate to work on some city projects. <br />His association with the employees was a very <br />good one and in light of the financial situation <br />
