8/2:1/84 Page -8- Acting City Administrator Rupp had provided Council with suggested wording of the notice to be sent out, Larry Allen 1954 Sunnyside Mr. Allen stated that the recommendation Circle by Rocky Mountain Consultants of following Disband Water Task Force the three day cycle for 6 days and then taking off all water restrictions concerned him. The Water Task Force specifically felt that water conservation should be in mind continually. They felt it would be a mis- take to lift watering restrictions entirely. The Task Force felt it should be the wishes of the Council that they would express to the City residents that everyone should be conservative minded and. that we should main- tain a 3 day watering cycle so that the City does not experience the water crisis again because of growth issues such as agreements that have been previously been set with the City. They would like to suggest - and it need not be an enforcement type thing - that the residents voluntarily maintain a 3-day watering cycle. Mr. Allen stated that they would like to dis- band the Citizens Water Task Force because of the recommendations that have been made and many of the things have been taken care of regarding the water treatment plant. Their group intends to regroup and reform to get into the long term areas that are effecting the comp plan and work with the council on this at a study session. Issues that they will be reviewing are long term water/ sewer services, housing mix, transportation, reporting functions and the information the new City Administrator should be reporting to Council so that Council receives the proper information enabling them to make the proper kind of decisions. Fact Sheet Mr. Allen commented that he would like to remind Council, two meetings ago, they com- mited to putting out a fact sheet stating how we got to where we were; what we were doing; where we are going to go, etc. He didn't feel that it was fair to the citizenery of Louisville that this fact sheet had not been put out. He felt that this commitment needed to be honored, and suggested that this be sent out with the next water notice.
