Louisville City Council Meeting <br />October 19, 2004 <br />Page 14 of 15 <br /> <br />Shawn Rolingher, Design Concepts, Lafayette, CO reported the construction and <br />architectural plans for the Community Park are now 75% completed. He stated they have <br />fine-tuned the areas around the ponds, but maintained the same elements presented to the <br />City Council. He stated the design of the road connection with Bella Vista Drive is <br />currently underway. Issues such as grading and drainage are being addressed. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Tom Rafferty, 945 Rex Street, Louisville, CO thanked Cindy Lair, her Staff, and all the <br />citizens who provided input to the design of the park, and offered suggestions. <br /> <br />Theresa Rounds, representing the Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board, praised the <br />design and development of the Community Park. <br /> <br />Jean Morgan, 1131 Spruce Street, Louisville, CO asked what process would be followed <br />in naming the park. She suggested the park be named Louisville Community Park. <br />Mayor Sisk stated that no decision has been made as to the naming of the park. <br /> <br />· Barbara Hesson, 526 LaFarge Avenue, Louisville, CO commented that six handicapped <br />parking spaces are not sufficient for the park. Land Management Director Cindy Lair <br />would look into the handicapped parking issue. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk commended Land Management Cindy Lair and Kathy Kron for their work on <br />the Community Park project. He thanked Council members Van Pelt and Levihn for <br />their work on the project. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons requested Staff reports: <br /> <br />Public Works Director Tom Phare reported on the 42/96th Street Connection Project. <br /> <br />Planning Director Paul Wood reported on the Comprehensive Development Plan. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reported on the new library project and the review <br />process for a Construction Manager General Contractor. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons reported on donating old City computers to the Jared Polis <br />Foundation, who accept computers, fix them and match them with worthy organizations. <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br /> <br />
