The City Attorney shall be, at all times while serving as City Attorney, an <br />attorney at law admitted to practice in Colorado <br />Sec. 2.10.040 — Removal. <br />The removal of the City Attorney shall require the affirmative vote of a <br />majority of the entire Council. <br />Sec. 2.10.050 — Duties — special counsel. <br />A The City Attorney shall serve as the chief legal advisor for the <br />City, shall advise the Council and other City officials in matters relating to their <br />official powers and duties, and shall perform such other duties as may be <br />designated by the Council. <br />B. The City Attorney shall attend meetings of the City Council and <br />draw all ordinances, contracts, and other instruments when requested by the City <br />Council to do so. <br />C. The Council may employ such special counsel as may be <br />recommended by the City Attorney, the City Manager, or the Council. <br />Chapter 2.12 <br />MUNICIPAL COURT <br />Sec 2.12 010. Removal. <br />Sec. 2.12.010 — Presiding municipal court judge. <br />A The City Council shall appoint, by the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds (2/3) of the entire Council, a presiding municipal judge. <br />B. The presiding municipal judge shall be appointed for a two (2) <br />year term, except that the imtial appointment may be for a term which expires on <br />the date of the next regular election Any vacancy in the office of presiding <br />municipal judge shall be filled by appointment for the remainder of the unexpired <br />term <br />C.
