Member Wilson seconded the motion. Roll <br />Call Vote: Lipton - yes, Koertje - no, ICimmett - no, Paige - no, Wilson - no, <br />Jeffers - no. <br /> <br />Member Kimmett moved that Celtic Way serve three (3) days from the last violation <br />and serve two (2) days from this violation for a total of five (5) days served, five (5) <br />days held in abeyance for one year. MemberJeffers seconded the motion. Roll Call <br />Vote: Lipton - yes, Koertje - yes, Kimmett - yes, Paige - yes, Wilson - yes. All <br />members were in favor, motion carried. <br /> <br />Kathleen Harrington asked what days they would like to serve. Mr. Rennich did not <br />know what dates Celtic Way would be serving but asked that they be a Friday, <br />Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Authority consented. <br /> <br />Show Cause Hearing - Gentleman Jim's, Inc., d/b/a Gentleman Jim's Bar & Grill - <br />Hotel & Restaurant License - 330 South McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />Chairperson Lipton called the Show Cause Hearing to Order. Present at the <br />proceedings were Steve Barnett, Prosecutor for the City and Jim Hayden, owner of <br />Gentleman Jim's, representing Gentleman Jim's. Mr. Barnett presented the findings <br />of his investigation regarding alleged violations at Gendeman Jim's Bar & Grill. He <br />stated that the proof was not strong and there was circumstantial evidence. There <br />was a dme discrepancy between the time stated on the credit card receipt and the <br />time the customer was contacted by Louisville Police Officers. <br /> <br />Jim Hayden entered evidence from bartender Debby Marcotte. He stated that he did <br />not think there was enough evidence in this case to prosecute. <br /> <br />Special Prosecutor Steve Barnett called his first witness. Officer Jessica Steele was <br />sworn in. <br /> <br />Officer Steele stated that she was dispatched on November 4, 2001 at 11:50 p.m. by <br />the Fire Department stating that there was a child curled up against a fence. Upon <br />arrival it was found that it was not a child but an adult male who had been drinking. <br />The male was identified as Chad Wardrop. Officer Steele stated she was not the first <br />to arrive at the scene, did not have any initial contact with the party. Paramedics <br />arrived and determined that Mr. Wardrop needed to be transported to the hospital. <br />Sergeant Ragulsky asked Officer Steele to follow up on a possible liquor violation <br />because along with Mr. Wardrop's identification, they found receipts in his wallet. <br />Mr. Wardrop was transported to the hospital and Officer Steele responded to <br />Gendeman Jim's to interview the bartender. <br /> <br />Debby Marcotte was the bartender on duty at Gentleman Jim's that evening. Officer <br />Steele questioned her about Mr. Wardrop. Officer Steele explained that a man was <br />found just around the corner from Gentleman Jim's.
