City of Louisville Tabletop Exercise Situation Manual <br />Module 1: <br />Event and Response <br />KEY FOCUS AREAS: <br />o Public Information and Warning (Notification) <br />o Environmental Response/Health and Safety <br />o Operational Coordination (Incident Management) <br />o Planning <br />Event Background Information <br />At approximately 12 noon on Friday, August 3, 2018, the Boulder County Sheriff <br />Communications Center, begins receiving calls regarding a shooting at Louisville <br />School. Louisville Police Officers and the Louisville Fire Protection District are <br />dispatched to this call. <br />Situation/Issues <br />At approximately 12 noon on Friday, August 3, 2018, the Boulder County Sheriff <br />Communications Center, begins receiving calls regarding a shooting at a Louisville <br />School. Louisville Police Officers and the Louisville Fire Protection District are <br />dispatched to this call. <br />School is in session on this date with a normal class schedule. The school resource <br />officer is off campus attending a training class. <br />Over the next several minutes additional calls are received from students/facility and <br />staff members at the school, reporting that several students have been shot and the <br />suspect is still in the school. Callers also report that students, facility and staff members <br />are running from the building. <br />The first arriving Louisville Officer reports many individuals running from the school and <br />an overall chaotic situation. Within a few minutes, this officer teams up with an Officer <br />from the Boulder Sheriff's Office and the Lafayette Police Department to enter the <br />school and address the threat. Officers have formed a Rapid Emergency Deployment <br />Team (RED). <br />Questions <45 Minutes> <br />1. Public Information and Warning - <br />a.
