Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />17 October 2019 <br />Louisville City Hall, 749 Main St, Louisville, CO <br />Spruce Conference Room <br />6:30pm <br />I. Call to Order <br />II. Roll Call <br />a. Members present: Beth McLennan, Robby Pitt, Kim Poletti, Kate Ward, Leah Franks, <br />Mark Cathcart, Adam Sloat, Sean Moynihan, Debbie Davies, Mike Crowe <br />b. City Representatives present: Katie Zoss, Jeff Lipton <br />III. Attendance and Volunteer Hours Log were circulated. <br />IV. Approval of Today's Agenda: motioned to approve, seconded, all approved. <br />V. Public Comments: none <br />VI. Correction and/or Approval of February Meeting Minutes: motioned to approve, seconded, all <br />approved. <br />VII. Chair's Report (Adam): <br />a. Adam talked about meeting the candidates for the Economic Vitality Director position. <br />b. Emphasized the need for a "happy town". <br />c. Which candidate will bring in more business? <br />d. Stressed that art and culture is important for a strong community. <br />e. Mike asked if the Director would be guiding what happens with development. <br />f. Adam mentioned it would be great to have the Director do entry/ exit interviews with <br />local businesses. <br />VIII. Treasurer's Report (Debbie): <br />a. Budget looks good so far, but we have spent our "extra" backup money, so we will need <br />to be careful with expenses going forward. <br />b. Carry over from September: Debbie will work on calculating costs for each event to help <br />us better understand where we are spending money. <br />IX. Staff Report (Katie): <br />a. Open government training is 10/23 at 6:30 PM; Adam, Robby, and Beth will attend. <br />b. Please encourage friends to apply for the open position on LCC. <br />c. November meeting will be in Council Chambers. <br />d. Art Center now has a screen and speakers for programming —the instructions for use <br />are at the Center. <br />e. Katie thinks the City will be able to buy a keyboard for LCA. <br />f. Robby asked if we could get some kind of backdrop for the LCA wall. <br />g. Beth asked if we could install a dimmer in the LCA foyer. <br />
