AUTHORITY BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. New Liquor License Application - Zuned Ahmed Kahn, d/b/a Taj Mahal III - Hotel & <br />Restaurant License - 1075 So. Boulder Road. <br /> <br />Attorney Sam Light noted that this item is on the agenda simply to set the public heating, and also, by <br />motion, to establish the boundary of the neighborhood, typically established as the boundary of the City <br />of Louisville. The Secretary would publish notice of the public hearing and the Authority would hold its <br />public hearing at a later date. <br /> <br />Chairman Jeffers outlined the process for the benefit of the applicant. He explained that tonight the <br />Authority would set the boundaries for what is considered the neighborhood, and set a heating date to <br />consider the full application. Jeffers asked the applicant, Zuned Ahmed Kahn, if he wished to make a brief <br />presentation. <br /> <br />Mr. Kahn stated that he would like to get his liquor license as quickly as possible. <br /> <br />Attorney Light noted that the heating could be held at the Authority's next regular meeting date of July <br />27, 1998, which wold allow sufficient time for publication of the public heating. <br /> <br />Lipton asked if at the time of the hearing, would the application be completed. She noted several <br />omissions of information on the application. <br /> <br />Attorney Light stated that this was an appropriate time to specifically point out deficiencies in the <br />application, so that the applicant has time to provide the missing information for the final packet. <br /> <br />Omissions in the application packet, noted by the Authority, are as follows: <br /> The appropriate boxes need to be marked on: <br /> Page 1 - Section A 2300 - Application Fee or New License. <br /> Section D 1970- H & R License # City <br /> <br />Page 3 Section 17b - Box unmarked <br /> <br />On the diagram, the storage of alcohol is not marked. <br /> <br />On the individual History Record for Khan Zuned Ahmed, line 9. - the State issuing the driver <br />license must be included. <br /> <br />of Louisville and the public hearing date be set for Monday, July 27, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. The motion was <br />seconded by Lipton. All in favor, motion carded. <br /> <br />Jeffers instructed the applicant to meet with the Authority Secretary to correct omissions in the <br />application. The heating date will be posted and published.
