Attorney Light requested direction fi.om the Authority with regards to Special Evems Permits. He
explained that state law, Section 12-48-107 provides for the Authority to assign the functions of
processing and issuing Special Events Permits to the Authority Secretary. This involves the posting of
notice and review of any written opposition filed against the application. If any written opposition were
filed with the Secretary, she could then set the matter on the agenda for the Authority's review.

The Authority confirmed that under the currem delegation in the Authority Rules, the Secretary is
authorized to process and approve Special Events permits for which there is no opposition. Permits with
written opposition should be set on the agenda for the Authofity's review and a heating.

AUTHORITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT

None.

AUTHORITY COMMENTS

None,

ADJOURNMENT

Steve Jeffe~~~ ¢

ATTEST:

Nancy VarrI S~retary to the Authority
