A motion was made, <br />seconded and unanimously adopted to authorize either Bruce Joss or Steve Barnett to serve as counsel <br />for the City. <br /> <br />B. Disturbance at Henry's Bar & Grill <br /> <br />Sergeant Riggins reported from October of 1997 through July 13, 1998 there were three incidents at <br />Henry's Bar & Grill which involved police intervention. In two incidents there were no liquor law <br />violations. The third incident, occurring July 13, 1998, allegedly involved the serving an intoxicated <br />person. It was the consensus of the Authority that this matter should be deferred to the August 31,1998 <br />regular meeting for further review and investigation of the facts. <br /> <br />C. Disturbance at Gentleman Jim's Bar & Grill <br /> <br />Sergeant Riggins reported on a incident which occurred at Gentleman Jim's Bar & Grill on July 19, 1998. <br />The incident allegedly involved a 3rd Degree Assault and Domestic Violence disturbance, which may <br />have been a result of serving an intoxicated person. The person in question was later cited for Driving <br />Under the Influence (DUI). The Authority decided that this matter should also be deferred to the August <br />31, 1998 regular meeting for further and investigation of the facts. <br /> <br />D. King Soopers to Conduct In-House Liquor Compliance Checks <br /> <br />The Authority reviewed the King Soopers proposal to conduct in-house liquor compliance checks, and <br />approved the proposal with the suggestion that the investigator be 21 years of age, and with a request <br />that the Authority receive a copy of the finalized compliance check report. <br /> <br />SECRETARY'S REPORT <br /> <br />The Authority Secretary reported that liquor training classes were conducted in Lafayette on Sunday, <br />July 19, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., and Wednesday, July 22, 1998 at 5:00 p.m. A 1998 schedule of liquor <br />classes held by the City of Boulder, was included in the packet. Anyone wishing to attend was instructed <br />to contact the Authority Secretary to reserve a place in the class. The City of Boulder has asked that no <br />more that two members at a time attend the classes. The five-dollar cost will be waived for the Authority <br />members. <br /> <br />The Secretary reported that World of Wonder, Ltd., dgo/a WOW! Children's Museum - 1075 South <br />Boulder Road, Suite 130, has applied for a Special Events Permit for the following dates - September 11, <br />1998, October 23, 1998, November 13, 1998, and December 11, 1998. The times of each event are from <br />4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
