Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Thursday, December 5, 2019 <br />Louisville City Services <br />739 1O4th Street <br />7:00 PM <br />1. Roll Call: PPLAB members present: Shelly Alm, Laurie Harford, Ellen Toon, Diana <br />Gutowski, Staff Liaison: Dean Johnson, Director of Parks & Rec: Nathan Mosley, <br />Director of Planning & Building Safety: Rob Zuccaro, Chip Stern, John Leary, <br />Maria L Garcia Berry, Jordan Swisher, Sarah Komppa, Geoff Baukol, Kevin <br />Mynihan <br />2. Approval of Agenda: unanimously approved <br />3. Approval of minutes — modify spelling of PPLAB member Diana's name to <br />"Gutowski". <br />4. Staff Updates: <br />A. January meeting will be moved to Jan. 9th <br />B. Discussion on how to accommodate a joint meeting with OSAB in February. <br />Suggestion of Feb. 12, but a few board members will be unavailable on this <br />date so it may need to be changed. <br />5. Board Updates: <br />A. PPLAB Chair, Ellen Toon met with Mayor Stolzmann last month. Council <br />would like to reinstate the study sessions as opposed to appointing council - <br />board liaisons. <br />B. PPLAB member, Diana Gutowski to meet with Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Chair, Allison Johanson to initiate collaboration on a new IPM (integrated <br />pest management plan) for the city. <br />6. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda — none <br />7. Continued Discussion on Tree Removal Appeal <br />A. Dean presented a brief review on the location and specifics of the tree in <br />question. <br />B. An engineer shared with Dean that if tree is removed, it may be possible to <br />address the problem "in house". Without tree removal, engineer presented <br />range of possibilities in pricing from $15-30K. <br />
