Board vote — 3 to 1 in favor of rejecting the appeal. <br />8. Nawatny Ridge Development Plan, Presented by Nathan Mosley, Director of <br />Parks, Recreation and Open Space <br />A. Rob shared background on the property and the general development plan <br />(GDP) process, an overview of the current proposal for development, and the <br />review process. Rob also presented information on the PUD land dedication <br />process. <br />B. Staff looks to PPLAB members for feedback on the plans. <br />C. Geoff Baukol from Brue Baukol presented an overview of the Nawatny Ridge <br />development plan. He specifically asked the Board to consider variations of <br />park/open space placements on the property. <br />1) Questions and discussion regarding topography of land and areas of <br />accessibility and usability as well as considerations of land prep (grading). <br />2) The Board favored the park/open space land being on the NW corner of <br />the property and unanimously moves to recommend such placement to <br />city staff (assuming the topography lends itself to the intended purpose). <br />3) The Board likes designating the land with visions of flexibility for future <br />parks/open space uses. <br />4) The Board unanimously recommended a range of 16-25 acres of <br />dedicated park land. <br />9. Discussion for Potential Community Park Dog Park Pond Closure <br />A. Dean and Nathan provided an overview of the dog park pond. <br />B. All board members are in favor of closing the dog park pond. <br />C. Board suggests appropriate signage be posted to communicate closure to <br />residents. <br />10. Meeting adjourned at 9:47 pm. <br />
