These more restrictive <br />measures are warranted by the escalation of the disease in just the last few days. <br />The order from BCPH requires that all individuals stay home and businesses implement <br />work from home policies and delivery of goods to the greatest extent possible. <br />Residents should refer to the order to see which businesses/operations are exempt as <br />they are considered essential. <br /> <br />The order also calls for every effort to be made, by all persons, to conduct only those <br />essential activities necessary to promote health and well-being, such as getting <br />groceries, obtaining medical supplies or medication and engaging in outdoor activities <br />like walking, hiking or running while continuing to maintain strict social distancing <br />practices (minimum of 6 feet from others). If you have questions about the order, please <br />contact the BCPH Call Center at 720-776-0822 or view the COVID-19 information on <br />BCPH’s website at www.boco.org/covid-19. <br /> <br />Governor Polis has also issued the following orders: Executive Order 20-13 (ordering <br />businesses to reduce in-person workforce by 50% or more if possible); Executive Order <br />20-12 (limits evictions, foreclosures and public utility disconnections and expedites <br />unemployment insurance claims); Executive Order 20-07 (temporarily suspends <br />public/private elementary/secondary schools from March 23rd to April 17th); Public <br />Health Order 20-23 (limits mass gatherings to no more than 10 people for 30 days); and <br />Public Health Order 20-22 (closing down businesses/in-person food service through <br />April 30th). <br /> <br />EMERGENCY MEETING: <br />On March 15th, City Council approved Resolution No. 27, Series 2020, declaring a local <br />disaster emergency. The declaration allows the City to access emergency funds, <br />Federal and State assistance, adjust policies, procedures and ordinances to ensure the <br />public’s health and welfare and remove barriers to support a timely response. City <br />Council also approved Resolution No. 26, Series 2020, amending the rules of procedure <br />to provide for electronic meeting participation. <br /> <br />FACILITIES CLOSURE: <br />Effective March 16th, all City facilities, including the Recreation & Senior Center, Library, <br />Historical Museum and City Hall, have been closed. In-person services, including most <br />building inspections, were temporarily suspended. City staff has been working to offer <br />services remotely and the public has been asked to call or email if they have business <br />with the City. Staff continues to routinely check voicemail and respond to inquiries <br />during regular business hours. <br /> <br />Effective March 24th, the City closed all playgrounds, the skate park, in-line hockey rink, <br />Community Dog Park, Davidson Mesa Off-Leash Area, ball fields, tennis courts, <br />basketball courts, picnic shelters, public restrooms and the Sports Complex.
