• Assist site with establishing an Energy Management Team, tasked with identifying, prioritizing, and <br />implementing energy efficiency opportunities; <br />• Regular follow-up to confirm completion of identified energy savings measures, and/or targeted <br />energy management coaching based on customer's needs. <br />• Basic support for submittals for Xcel Energy incentives for implemented capital measures as well as <br />low/no-cost measures; <br />• Prepare an annual SEM Verification Report that summarizes the actions completed and energy <br />savings achieved to date. <br />The City of Louisville will be eligible for Xcel Energy's end -use custom-, prescriptive-, and operational - <br />incentives that are in effect at the time the projects are implemented. Projects that qualify for Xcel Energy <br />prescriptive rebate programs must also follow the appropriate rebate application process. Projects that fit <br />within Xcel Energy's Custom Efficiency program require application submittal and analysis before rebates are <br />paid. <br />Customer Commitment <br />The program requires coordinated work between the City of Louisville and Xcel Energy. The City of <br />Louisville's investment will be in meeting the responsibilities as outlined in this MOU and identifying an <br />energy champion to ensure on -going success of the program. The City of Louisville will be responsible for <br />the following: <br />Assign an Energy Management Team, including an Energy Champion. The Energy Champion will serve <br />as the primary contact for Xcel Energy staff and coordinate the customer's implementation activities. <br />Additional roles within the team are the Executive Sponsor and a Data Master. <br />2. Make available a high-level management team for participation in a two-hour program kick-off and <br />EMA. This could include members of the energy management team, specifically the individuals with <br />senior/executive level responsibility for energy management, as well as others from administration, <br />operations, finance, utilities, maintenance, procurement and all other appropriate functional areas; <br />3. Provide plant access, safety reviews, and plant support personnel for on -site evaluations. The personnel <br />should be knowledgeable of plant facilities and operations. Support may also include a knowledgeable <br />electrician for setting up agreed -upon monitoring equipment; <br />4. Provide historical facility and/or production data related to energy drivers. This data will be used to <br />quantify energy savings and to facilitate tracking energy performance. Examples may include (if <br />available): energy data, production data, equipment data sheets, operating parameters, and relevant <br />previous reports. Where available, the last two years of sub -meter data will also be provided; <br />5. Work toward collecting and providing energy interval data in 15-minute increments for all Xcel Energy <br />electric meters serving the site(s). This data is used to track energy performance as well as assist the site <br />with identifying potential energy saving measures. <br />6. Provide financial approval criteria, or hurdle rate, for projects <br />7. Proceed with good -faith efforts to fund and implement the recommended actions and projects that meet <br />your business and financial criteria; <br />8. Participate in follow-up reviews at least every other month <br />9. Apply for Xcel Energy incentives for qualifying projects; <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
