Adoption of 2009 ICC Code Adoption <br />Mike Jones explained that for our local builders adopting 2009 codes <br />with the manual J's standards and higher energy standards, will be a <br />big jump above what we have now. <br />Code books will be ordered upon approval at the next city council <br />meeting. We will get them to the board members as soon as possible <br />for your review. <br />Gary Mancuso brought up concerns about giving professionals in the <br />building and designing community plenty of time to transition into these <br />new requirements. Need to set target dates and make them known, so <br />everyone has the opportunity for input into this process. <br />Mike Jones said that "Paul Wood, and I will sit down with an outline to <br />start the public process, including meetings with "Transition", and <br />definitely contractor meetings. <br />Gary Mancuso suggested that we have meetings during the week at <br />night as well to accommodate those who have weekend family <br />obligations. <br /> <br />VII.
