Open Space Capital Improvement Projects (CIP's) have been assigned to <br />staff by the Director: <br />The Projects Manager: <br />a. Soft Surface Trail Management Program: Davidson Mesa Resurfacing <br />b. Retaining Wall Replacement: Coyote Run and Hillside <br />Open Space Division: <br />a. Open Space and Park Signs (Wayfinding) <br />b. Russian Olive Removal <br />c. Replacement Truck for Seasonal Use <br />d. Open Space Maintenance Vehicle for New Position <br />e. New Equipment: Roller and Power Rake Attachment <br />Trails & Maintenance: <br />1. The Projects Manager will be managing the Davidson Mesa Trail Resurfacing <br />Project and the Hillside/Coyote Run Retaining Walls Project. The Open Space <br />Division will be managing the purchase of two truck, two assignments have <br />been issued by the Director. Loops in Louisville is now available in the Rec <br />Center catalog and on the Open Space website: <br />https://www.louisvilleco.gov/local- <br />govern ment/government/departments/parks-recreation-and-open- <br />space/open-space-division/loops-around-louisville. This program encourages <br />hiking, running, rolling, and cycling especially during the month of February for <br />American Heart Month. Loops in Louisville includes three routes of ranging <br />intensity and more routes will be added periodically as a continued effort to <br />encourage people to enjoy Louisville trails and open spaces. <br />2. Staff is working with the Colorado Division of Homeland Security & <br />Emergency Management to update the 2013 FEMA Application pertaining to <br />Davidson Mesa, Coyote Run, and Coal Creek trails. <br />3. Staff is working with the City Forester to remove potentially hazardous <br />branches from cottonwood trees located by the stock pond on Warembourg <br />Open Space. There will be a temporary trail closure on February 19t" for the <br />trail which runs north/south by the stock pond while work is occurring. <br />Information on the closure will be posted on the Fans of Louisville Open <br />Space and Parks Facebook page, City website, and on the property prior to <br />the scheduled closure. <br />
