Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board Meeting Minutes Thursday, February 4, 2021 Virtual Meeting OWN 1. Roll Call: PPLAB members present: Laurie Harford, Ellen Toon, Shelly Alm, Dave Clabbots, Steve Knapp and Diana Gutowski. Dean Johnson, Parks Superintendant. Rob Zuccaro, Director of Planning & Building Safety. Nathan Mosely, Director of Parks, Recreation & Open Space. Ginger Cross, Marketing Specialist Parks, Recreation and Open Space. Jordan Swisher, Jay Hardy and Geoff Baukol, Brue Baukol Capital Partners. 2. Approval of Agenda: approved unanimously. 3. Approval of Minutes: approved unanimously. 4. Staff Updates: a. Louisville Parks Department contractor update on irrigation design consultant. 5. Board Updates: a. Diana Gutowski, PPLAB board member, planning to move in next few months. 6. Public Comments on Items Not on Agenda: a. Questions regarding the cable install at Sunflower Park. i. Contractor is required to return property to "as it was found or better" upon completion. ii. Walkthrough with Parks after completion to address issues re: landscaping & irrigation. 7. Red Tail Ridge Review & Presentation: a. Review - Rob Zuccaro presented an overview of the City process related to PCZD (planned community -zoned districts), the GDP (General Development Plan), background on the property as well as reviewed differences between 2020 proposal and 2021 proposal. b. Questions & Discussion: i. Noted current proposal does not include funds to build the park, only the land allocated for future park development. ii. As Subdivision plats come into play, if they have public landscaping, they will be taken to PPLAB to review, depending on the scope of the PUD. iii. Questions from Board regarding plans for many shade trees in landscaping plans and how those shade trees require large 2
