City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 16, 2021 <br />Page 4 of 13 <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approved Resolution No. 17; seconded by <br />Councilmember Lipton. <br />Motion passed by unanimous voice vote. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approved Resolution No. 18; seconded by <br />Councilmember Lipton. <br />Motion passed by unanimous voice vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19, SERIES 2021 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUSINESS <br />ASSISTANT AGREEMENT WITH EARTHHERO LLC FOR AN ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />Director Pierce stated EarthHearo is an online eco-friendly marketplace for products that <br />are sourced, manufactured, and shipped in a way that protects the planet's future. The <br />company was started in 2016 and is currently based in Boulder but is seeking space in <br />the Colorado Technology Center. They currently have 21 employees but hope to expand <br />to 85 over the next five years. They would like to open in Louisville by June 2021. She <br />reviewed the application against the BAP criteria. <br />The proposed assistance includes 50% rebate of Building Permit Fees and Construction <br />Use Tax (for tenant finish work) capped at $5,000. A 40% rebate on new Sales Tax over <br />a five-year period, capped at $3,100. The project must be completed by September 30, <br />2021 and must remain in Louisville for five years or a percentage of the rebates must be <br />repaid. She reviewed the fiscal impact noting the rebates should be offset by anticipated <br />revenues to the City. <br />Staff recommends approval of the agreement. <br />Public Comments — None. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approve Resolution No. 19; seconded by <br />Councilmember Fahey. <br />Motion passed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20, SERIES 2021 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A <br />PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR THE HAYES HOUSE LOCATED <br />AT 541 JEFFERSON AVENUE <br />Mayor Stolzmann introduced the item and asked for disclosures. There were no <br />disclosures. Mayor Stolzmann opened the public hearing. <br />
