RESOLUTION NO. 19, SERIES 2021 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUSINESS ASSISTANT AGREEMENT WITH EARTHHERO LLC FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE Director Pierce stated EarthHearo is an online eco-friendly marketplace for products that are sourced, manufactured, and shipped in a way that protects the planet's future. The company was started in 2016 and is currently based in Boulder but is seeking space in the Colorado Technology Center. They currently have 21 employees but hope to expand to 85 over the next five years. They would like to open in Louisville by June 2021. She reviewed the application against the BAP criteria. The proposed assistance includes 50% rebate of Building Permit Fees and Construction Use Tax (for tenant finish work) capped at $5,000. A 40% rebate on new Sales Tax over a five-year period, capped at $3,100. The project must be completed by September 30, 2021 and must remain in Louisville for five years or a percentage of the rebates must be repaid. She reviewed the fiscal impact noting the rebates should be offset by anticipated revenues to the City. Staff recommends approval of the agreement. Public Comments — None.
