Staff requests these amendments to: <br />A. Adopt other operating and capital adjustments to the 2021 expenditure budget for <br />items that staff did not anticipate, or were not measureable, at the time City Council <br />adopted the original 2021 budget in November 2020. Some of the most significant <br />amendments in this section have already been discussed during the past year with <br />City Council. A detailed account -by -account listing of this amendment is included in <br />Appendix A to the Resolution. The total amount of this portion of the expenditure <br />amendment is +$1,830,410. <br />B. Adopt other operating adjustments to the 2021 expenditure budget for the <br />implementation of the Vaccine Bonuses and the Premium Pay disbursements. A <br />detailed account -by -account listing of this amendment is included in Appendix B to <br />the Resolution. The total amount of this portion of the expenditure amendment is <br />+$236,850 <br />The Finance Committee reviewed a preliminary draft of the amendment at their December <br />17 meeting. <br />State law requires a public hearing to amend the budget. Staff published a notice of the <br />public hearing as required by law. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The proposed budget amendment increases the 2021 expenditure budget by $2,067,260. <br />All funds are expected to remain in full compliance with the Reserve Policies. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />W <br />
