that we use the mailbox routinely.

IX - City Report: Frost reported on the meeting between City Council and local
representatives. Frost reiterated the importance of the work sessions. Jim P. asked if
there were a standard form or expectations for the work sessions. Kathy M. noted that
she had already made such a request.

X - City Staff Report: Kathy Martin gave out copies of the Louisville Open Government
and Ethics Pamphlet and emphasized the importance of taking the training. We need the
training to use City Hall, Library, Police Dept., Recreation Centers and City web site.

Julie S. reminded everyone she needed Arts Center reservation requests for July-
December by F eb .1.

XI-Public Posting of Agenda: Moved to public post.

XII - Events Schedule:

Julie K. reminded us all to post our upcoming events on "The Hub", which is specific to
Louisville. These postings will be linked to the BCAA calendar.

XII - New Arts Center: Don reported that the Arts Center design committee (Senior
Design Class) is hard at work. The Steering Committee hopes to present the designs to
the public in early May, and use a (1 to 5) rating system to rank the designs, with awards
given to the top 3, as well as, a "People's Choice" award. He suggested prize levels of
$250, $150, and $100 for the top 3. Julie approved a budget of $750 for the event, with a
poteital date on Sunday, May3.

With regard to potential locations in the downtown area, Don noted that "FastTracks" is
likely to be dormant for several years and that neither the City Councilor the LRC want
large parking lots downtown. He gave an update with background on the redevelopment
projects and provided Rebecca with written notes.

Lynn W. expressed her concern that the designs might become "set in stone" if one is
selected as the favorite. Frost Yarnell noted the old grain elevator site maybe up for sale
and could be a possible location.

XIII - Fundraising: Lynn agreed to take a full inventory of all the LCC "product", and
planned to sell items at the Children's Concert and the next Coffeehouse Concert.

XIV - Events: Rebecca suggested that we should have more events oriented towards high
school kids. The suggestion was also made to interface more with the Youth Advisory
Board and Community TV.
