Historic Preservation Commission
Meeting Minutes
February 21, 2022
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
Haley asks staff if there is potential for new commission members.
Bauer says the City Clerk has recently re -posted the HPC opening in the paper. She
has also drafted a flyer for this. She asks the commissioners if they would like to review
the flyer before making it public.
Haley says that they do not need to review the flyer first but to go ahead and publish it.
She asks the commissioners if they were able to attend the open government meeting.
She discusses the benefits of the training and asks staff if it was recorded.
Bauer says she thinks it is recorded and that she can pass that along to the
commissioners.
Dunlap says he recently got a notice about a variance request for 301 Pine St. He asks
staff if after it goes to the Board of Adjustment, will it go to us to review?
Bauer says that that property is not a landmarked property and the variance request
was approved last week. Now they can apply for their building permit and it would then
go through the historic demolition process through HPC.
Dunlap asks if the lifting of the mask mandate affect them.
Bauer mentions that as of right now, in -person meetings for boards and commissions
are not happening. If that changes, she will email the commission though.
ADJOURN
Dunlap moves and Burg seconds a motion to adjourn. Motion passes unanimously by
a voice vote. Meeting adjourns at 8:01 PM.
10
