Historic Preservation Commission
Meeting Minutes
February 21, 2022
Haley asks if the shed addition will be a part of the landmark.
Bauer says yes, it will.
Public Comment:
None is heard.
Discussion by Commissioners:
Burg mentions that it a unique home and that she was unaware that it was a vernacular
patterned masonry Queen Anne. Because there are not many of those in Louisville, she
is in support of this.
Haley says she did not realize this was one of our commissioner's home. It is very
unique, it stands out, and loves that the brick is very rare. She thinks it meets all the
necessary requirements.
Keller says she agrees with the other commissioners and that it is one of his favorite
homes in Louisville. They would be lucky to have it Iandmarked.
Keller moves and Burg seconds a motion to approve 741 Lincoln Avenue's request to
find probable cause for a landmark designation to allow for funding of a historic
structure assessment. Motion passes unanimously by a roll call vote.
STAFF COMMENTS
Subcommittee Updates
Bauer gives an update on 927 Main Street.
A subcommittee reviewed a request for a new projecting sign at 927 Main (the Pearson
Store). They released the request and the rationale was as follows:
The proposed materials are similar to the previously existing signage, which also
received a subcommittee approval.
The sign will have a minimal impact on the Iandmarked structure.
Public Notice Posting Locations
Burg moves and Keller seconds a motion to approve the below posting locations.
Motion passes unanimously by a voice vote.
a. City Hall, 749 Main Street
b. Library, 951 Spruce Street
c. Recreation/Senior Center, 900 Via Appia
d. Police Department/Municipal Court, 992 Via Appia
e. City Web Site, www.LouisvilleCO.gov
Open Government & Ethics Pamphlet — 2022 Edition
Bauer mentions the 2022 pamphlet is available in the meeting packet for the
commissioner's to review.
2022 Meeting Dates
The commission has no changes for the 2022 meeting dates.
0
