Councilman Leary

Study Session to be set for
Storer/ Scripps Howard

Administrator Wurl

Councilman Cussen

Motion Withdrawn

Page -5-

Assured council that Scripps-Howard would
honor the agreement and legally will be bound
by all the terms and conditions of the agree-
ment. Advised that Lafayette construction
crews would be working in that area within
the next 2 months and at that time will hook-up
the Medema subdivision if Council approves
the contract.
Mr. Lyons requested that they too be pro-
vided with a list of items that have not
been provided by Storer. Requested this
written list be provided in advance of
their next meeting with the City.
Addressing the remote control equipment to
be used in the field - advised this would
be made available either from Longmont or
Lafayette and the system was already in oper-
ation.
As to origination equipment requested that
these be itemized and presented to Scripps-
Howard.
General consensus that councilmembers pre-
sent their concerns to Attorney Rautenstraus,
a copy be given to Mr. Lyons, Attorney for
Scripps-Howard, and these be discussed at
7:00 P.M. before the council meeting.
Felt that if Council was going to discuss
an agenda item before the regular meeting,
the meeting should commence at 7:00 P.M.
He felt it was inappropriate to have these
discussions outside an official meeting, as
the public should be notified of the discussion.

Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Leary
seconded that a study session be set with
Storer Cable TV and Scripps-Howard agreement.
Councilman Leary suggested that other items
be added to the study session.
Advised that a tentative study session date
of April 21st has been set with Boulder County.
If the Storer/ Scripps Howard discussion
would take and hour - Boulder County could
be asked to come at 8:30 P.M.
Expressed concern that the item then would
not be dealt with until the May 3rd council
meeting and would cause undue delay for
service.
Councilwoman Morris withdrew her motion with
the assurance that the discussion would be
held only during the regular council meeting.
