Approval of Takoda Metropolitan District Intergovernmental <br />Agreement <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Youth Advisory Board members Sam Webster and Megan Valentine invited <br />Council and the public to the second Poet-a-thon, which will be held at the Art <br />Center on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. All proceeds will go to Social <br />Services to purchase backpacks for students in foster care. Admission is $2.00 at <br />the door. <br /> <br />COUNCil INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella wished everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Fleming reported on the following: <br /> <br />· Mayor Sisk is representing the City at the National League of Cities <br />meeting in Washington, D.C. The Mayor notified the City of the U.S. <br />Attorney General's announcement of funding for Police Officers through <br />the COPS Program. The City will apply for funds to hire a police officer. <br />
