<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 17, 2009 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Marsella moved to convene an executive session for <br />the purpose of considering a proposed real property disposition, seconded by <br />Councilor Yarnell. City Manager Fleming requested Real Estate Broker Steve <br />Anderson be included in the executive session. All in favor. Absent: Mayor Sisk <br />and Councilor Sackett. Council went into executive session at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUED <br /> <br />Council reconvened the regular business meeting at 8:05 p.m. <br /> <br />REPORT - PROPOSED PROPERTY DISPOSITION <br /> <br />City Attorney Light reported in executive session, Council discussed the sales <br />strategy for the Damyanovich home. Council directed City Staff and the City's <br />representatives on how to proceed. City Attorney Light noted if negotiations for <br />selling the property are successful, an ordinance will be brought before Council <br />authorizing the sale. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle reported DRCOG will meet on Wednesday, March 18 to <br />discuss Federal Stimulus funding. He stated, if Council does not oppose, he will <br />support an RTD proposal to fund half of the US36 project through their stimulus <br />funding. They propose to deduct that amount from their obligation for the BRT <br />US36 Project. He noted DRCOG is also monitoring House Bill 09-1284, which is <br />a Corridor Capacity Strategic Planning Bill. <br /> <br />Councilor Dalton asked for the purpose of House Bill 09-1284. Councilor Muckle <br />stated the bill addresses new developments, which impact transit by requiring <br />additional ramps and access points to highways. Mayor Pro Tem Marsella stated <br />her understanding the bill forces coordinated planning. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella thanked the Councilors who attended the Consortium of <br />Cities Revenue Stability Forum. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved for adjournment, seconded by Councilor <br />Yarnell. All in favor. Absent: Mayor Sisk and Councilor Sackett. The meeting <br />was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br />
