<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 17, 2009 <br />Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br />Councilor Clabots thanked Parks Superintendent Dean Johnson, City Forester <br />Chris Lichty and Parks & Recreation Director Joe Stevens for their presentations <br />before the Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Marsella voiced her support for having more than one contract. <br />Councilor Muckle voiced his appreciation to the Parks Staff for their work. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilor Clabots moved to approve the 2009 Landscape <br />Maintenance Service Agreement with Civil Constructors in the amount of <br />$47,243.00 and CoCa I Landscape in the amount of $85,785.46. Councilor <br />Dalton seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a <br />vote of 5-0. Absent: Mayor Sisk and Councilor Sackett. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1547, SERIES 2009 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE <br />VACATION OF TEMPORARY SECONDARY EMERGENCY VEHICLE <br />ACCESS EASEMENT AND TEMPORARY BIKE PATH EASEMENTS <br />LOCATED WITHIN LOTS 2, 3, 4, AND 6, BLOCK 4, AND LOT 8, BLOCK 5, <br />SPRUCE LANE SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE _ 1 st <br />Reading - Set Public Hearing 4/07/09 <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Marsella requested a City Attorney Introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1547, Series 2009. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tern Marsella moved to approve Ordinance No. 1547, <br />Series 2009 on first reading, send it out for publication and set a public hearing <br />for April 7, 2009, seconded by Councilor Clabots. All in favor. Absent: Mayor <br />Sisk and Councilor Sackett. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION - PROPOSED REAL PROPERTY DISPOSITION <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS SUSPENDED <br /> <br />The City Attorney Light introduced the request for executive session: The City <br />Manager requested the City Council convene an executive session for the <br />purposes of consideration of proposed real property disposition, as to value and <br />strategy (Potential Sale of Excess City Property - Damyanovich House Lot). <br />The City Attorney cited the authority to conduct an executive session - Louisville <br />Charter, Section 5-2(c) - Authorized Topics - Consideration of real property <br />acquisitions and dispositions, only with respect to appraisals and other value <br />estimates and strategy, and C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(A). <br /> <br />City Clerk Varra read Sec 2.90.050 - Public statement, of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code, which governs the topics discussed in an executive session. <br />
