City Council Meeting Minutes March 17, 2009 Page 5 of 7 Councilor Clabots thanked Parks Superintendent Dean Johnson, City Forester Chris Lichty and Parks & Recreation Director Joe Stevens for their presentations before the Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board. Mayor Pro Tern Marsella voiced her support for having more than one contract. Councilor Muckle voiced his appreciation to the Parks Staff for their work. MOTION: Councilor Clabots moved to approve the 2009 Landscape Maintenance Service Agreement with Civil Constructors in the amount of $47,243.00 and CoCa I Landscape in the amount of $85,785.46. Councilor Dalton seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 5-0. Absent: Mayor Sisk and Councilor Sackett. ORDINANCE No. 1547, SERIES 2009 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE VACATION OF TEMPORARY SECONDARY EMERGENCY VEHICLE ACCESS EASEMENT AND TEMPORARY BIKE PATH EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN LOTS 2, 3, 4, AND 6, BLOCK 4, AND LOT 8, BLOCK 5, SPRUCE LANE SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE _ 1 st Reading - Set Public Hearing 4/07/09 Mayor Pro Tern Marsella requested a City Attorney Introduction. City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1547, Series 2009. MOTION: Mayor Pro Tern Marsella moved to approve Ordinance No. 1547, Series 2009 on first reading, send it out for publication and set a public hearing for April 7, 2009, seconded by Councilor Clabots. All in favor. Absent: Mayor Sisk and Councilor Sackett. EXECUTIVE SESSION - PROPOSED REAL PROPERTY DISPOSITION REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS SUSPENDED The City Attorney Light introduced the request for executive session: The City Manager requested the City Council convene an executive session for the purposes of consideration of proposed real property disposition, as to value and strategy (Potential Sale of Excess City Property - Damyanovich House Lot). The City Attorney cited the authority to conduct an executive session - Louisville Charter, Section 5-2(c) - Authorized Topics - Consideration of real property acquisitions and dispositions, only with respect to appraisals and other value estimates and strategy, and C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(A). City Clerk Varra read Sec 2.90.050 - Public statement, of the Louisville Municipal Code, which governs the topics discussed in an executive session.
