<br />PETITION - OEDIPUS, INC. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />TRI-CITY ELKS LODGE <br />LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWAL <br /> <br />1/5/82 <br /> <br />Page -2- <br /> <br />Christa Fremgen, 3765 Hartin Drive, <br />Boulder, Colorado, represented the Company <br />and presented the City Clerk with a report <br />of how the petition for and against the <br />need of a 3.2% beer facility was conducted <br />within the City limits.which contained the <br />results - 882 contacts were made <br />39 not qualified to sign <br />445 signatures for or against <br />398 not at home <br />316 in favor <br />13 in opposition <br />2 expressed opinion, but did not sign <br />95.4% in favor -. 4.53% against. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci asked if there was anyone <br />present opposed to the application. None. <br /> <br />Questioned the criteria relative to the <br />neighborhood that has fulfilled the need-desig- <br />nating a certain number of people being ser- <br />ved by the outlet; perhaps a poll should be <br />taken. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised this had not <br />been done in the past - the city limits <br />designation has been used and the location <br />is a valid neighborhood. Perhaps in the future <br />council may have to consider dividing the <br />city into 2 or 3 neighborhoods for liquor <br />outlets. <br />No further remarks Mayor Caranci closed the <br />public hearing for the Royal Food Hart 3.2% <br />beer license request. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that the Royal <br />Food Mart 3.2% license application be approved. <br />Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Roll call vote. <br />Fauson Yes <br />Cummings Yes <br />Brown Yes <br />Meier Yes <br />Domenico Yes <br />DelPizzo Yes <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised the application <br />was in order. <br />
