Dog Off Leash Area- Staff will be making temporary repairs to the Dog off leash area. <br />Anticipated temporary opening date is May 61h, 2022 pending weather conditions. <br />3. Fencing contract- The Dog off Leash Area has been re -bid for permanent fence repair. Bid <br />openings are scheduled for May 24' <br />4. Staff hosted two Marshall Fire debris clean up volunteer events in April. Volunteers <br />helped pick up trash and burned fencing on Hillside and also removed trash and t-posts <br />along burned fence lines on Damyanovich Open Space. <br />5. Property perimeter mowing- Staff have submitted a recommendation to the City <br />Manager's Office for 2022 mowing along public land -private home property lines. <br />6. Staff and the City Manager's Office are discussing hiring a contractor to develop a wildfire <br />hazard assessment and risk mitigation plan for public lands. <br />Natural Resources: <br />1. The herbicide contractor will be treating noxious weeds with herbicides on select Open <br />Space properties May 3-6 and also May 31-June 3. <br />2. The native shrubs planted on Warembourg Open Space by volunteers (pictured below) <br />will be watered weekly this spring and summer by a contractor as they get established. <br />3. Harper Lake and the Warembourg fishing pond are stocked with fish annually by <br />Colorado Parks and Wildlife who also determine when fish are stocked and the number <br />to be released. Below are the fish stocking records for 2021 and the plan for 2022 <br />provided by the CPW Aquatic Biologist. <br />Harper Lake: <br />2021: Bel -Aire Rainbow Trout: 3,038 released on May4th <br />Channel Catfish: 950 released on August 12th <br />Year total: 3,988 fish <br />2022: Rainbow Trout: 3,000 released on April 19th <br />Channel Catfish: 950 planned for September 1st <br />Year total: 3,950 fish <br />M <br />
