Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />May 23, 2022 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />RAB members would like to share this information with the Sustainability <br />Advisory Board and the Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board. <br />Staffing Update <br />On June 15 Adam Blackmore will begin work as our new Parks, Recreation <br />and Open Space Director. He will have his office at the rec center. The <br />current City Manager is out due to injury, and Megan Davis is filling in as the <br />acting city manager. <br />David Dean reported that he is close to having enough employees. <br />Budget Update <br />Kathy Martin reported that the budget process is in the beginning stages. The <br />starting point will be the pre-COVID budget. There will be a 5.5% fee <br />escalator. Key performance indicators will be used to measure performance <br />in various areas. Kathy will share information about key performance <br />indicators at the next RAB meeting. <br />Kathy reported that the CIP process has started, but she has not had the <br />opportunity to present all of the proposals. <br />Board Updates <br />Drop -in senior tennis is going well, with good attendance. <br />Discussion and Action Items for Next Meeting <br />• Recreation and Senior Services updates <br />• Golf Course Feasibility Plan update <br />• Golf Course Strategic Plan update <br />• RAB work plan <br />• Rec Center and Golf Course Budget <br />• Key Performance Indicators <br />Adjourn — The meeting was adjourned at 8:30. <br />Motion: Gene Kutscher <br />Second: Lisa Norgard <br />
