City Council
Meeting Minutes
February 15, 2022
process. Director Zuccaro stated the standards will be the bulk and yard standards or the
envelope of where the building can be built. The City does not have design standards as
far as materials, models, etc. Planning anticipates there will be a much greater use of
different designs and materials than before in some neighborhoods.
Councilmember Dickinson asked what is enforced if a resident does not rebuild but sells
their empty lot. Does a new owner gets to build to the footprint of the destroyed home?
Director Zuccaro responded that this process will apply to the whole neighborhood,
regardless if someone is rebuilding or if someone new owns it. It will also apply 10 years
from now if someone wants to build an addition to the house.
Public Comments
Larry Donner, 1020 Willow Place, spoke in support of the ordinance as a way to clear up
uncertainties in the process to allow people to move forward with rebuilding.
John Mihaly, 1018 Arapahoe Circle, spoke in support of the ordinance and stated if it is
needed the variance process is used well and will protect the character of neighborhoods.
It is critical to improve efficiencies to allow people to rebuild.
Christian Dino, 967 Eldorado Lane, spoke in support of the ordinance to expedite the
processes of rebuilding.
RJ Harrington, 457 East Raintree Court, spoke in support of the ordinance to help people
move quickly in the process.
Russell Moore, 1013 Arapahoe Circle, supports the ordinance to help rebuilding.
Motion: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approve Ordinance No. 1824, Series 2022,
seconded by Councilmember Dickinson. Mayor Stolzmann reiterated this ordinance is an
emergency ordinance to be sure everyone understood that process.
Public Comments - None
Mayor Stolzmann closed the public hearing
Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
RESOLUTION NO. 9, SERIES 2022 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A
PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR THE LA SALLE HOUSE
LOCATED AT 833 JEFFERSON AVENUE
Mayor Stolzmann introduced the item and opened the public hearing
