City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 15, 2022 <br />Page 6 of 13 <br />Kim Bauer, Historic Preservation Planner stated this property was landmarked in 2020 <br />and the owner received a grant of $17,433 at that time. The applicant is asking for a <br />restoration grant in the amount of $22,567. This grant allows for matching grant amounts <br />up to $40,000 for eligible preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation work. The grant <br />requested would be used to pay for repair work to sections of the foundation and crawl <br />space, floor structure, and site grading. <br />Keith Keller, applicant, thanked the members of City Council and stated that he is <br />available if there are any questions. <br />Public Comments — None. <br />Councilmember Brown asked if there were any restrictions in the code for applying for <br />multiple grants as long the total stays under the cap. Planner Bauer confirmed that <br />applying for multiple grants up to the limit is allowed and that this application is also within <br />the timeframe set forth. <br />Motion: Councilmember Leh moved to approve Resolution No. 9, Series 2022, seconded <br />by Councilmember Most. <br />Mayor Stolzmann closed the public hearing <br />Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />841 JEFFERSON AVENUE — LANDMARKING AND PRESERVATION GRANT <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10, SERIES 2022 —A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE <br />MOSSONI HOUSE LOCATED AT 841 JEFFERSON AVENUE AS A HISTORIC <br />LANDMARK <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11, SERIES 2022 —A RESOLUTION APPROVING A <br />PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR THE MOSSONI HOUSE <br />LOCATED AT 841 JEFFERSON AVENUE <br />Mayor Stolzmann introduced the item and opened the public hearing. <br />Planner Bauer stated this is a request for landmarking and a preservation grant for 841 <br />Jefferson Avenue. This property meets the age, architectural significance, cultural <br />significance and structural integrity critiera for landmarking. The preservation grant would <br />be used to reimburse the owners for the replacement of non -historic siding and doors, <br />soffit and brick work, and window replacement. Total grant request is $17,000. <br />Matt Goldstein, the homeowner and applicant stated that he is the third owner of the <br />home and his goal is to be the steward of the home. He is available to answer any <br />questions. <br />
