However, he <br />advised that it was open to negotia- <br />tion, and later inside the church <br />there will be a full size gym, and <br />there are opportunities for possible <br />use of that also, mostly with the <br />Church teams. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN FAUSON <br /> <br />Inquired approximately how much land <br />did the Church deed to the City for <br />the realignment of Washington St. <br />and why did they not give the 12% as <br />required of other annexors. <br />Administrator Wurl advised that he was <br />unaware of any other property that <br />the Church owns that the City needs <br />for any purpose. The annexation is <br />approximately 8 acres and 12% of that <br />would bE~ approximately 1 acre. The <br />trail system does not touch this <br />property. and the land being deeded <br />for the realignment is approximately <br />~ acre, plus what would be used for <br />the South Boulder Road alignment. <br />Councilman Fauson then inquired if our <br />insurance would cover City people who <br />used the ball fields. He was assured <br />it would. <br />Who is obligated to pay for the realign- <br />ment of Washington St. Administrator <br />Wurl advised the Mesa Point developers. <br />The Church of the Latter Day Saints is <br />obligated to pay for the improvements <br />from their property to South Boulder <br />Rd. Councilman Carnival also wanted <br />to support Councilman Cummings request <br />that the Church and our Recreation <br />Dept. get together, negotiate both <br />the use of the ball field and the gym <br />to accmnodate the Church's schedules. <br />
