COUNCIL REMARKS Counciman Cummings ORDINANCE #709 - MORMAN CHURCH ANNEXATION, 1ST READING PUBLICATION ORDINANCE #710 - MORMAN CHURCH ZONING - FIRST READING PUBLICATION 12/16/80 Page - 5 - proposed calendar be approved, and that the polling places be the Middle School - Ward 1, Community Building - Ward 2, and the City Hall - Ward 3. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried 5-0. Attorney Joss informed Council the Special Election is open only to registered voters and residents of the City. Those who did not vote in the General Election on November 4, 1980 will have to re-register either with the City Clerk or County Clerk. This may be done during regular business hours 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and if necessary after hours for registration at the City Hall. January 30, 1981 is the last day for a person to register. Inquired if the actual paper work is handled by the City Clerk. Attorney Joss advised that the City Clerk has the author- ity to register people, but the actual registration rolls are controlled and held by thE~ County Clerk's office. All members of Council had a copy of the ordinance before them for their review and files. Attorney Joss read the ordin- ance by title only and asked Council to set a date for a public hearing - sug- gested date, January 20, 1981. Councilman Meier moved that Ordinance 1/=709 -. Morman Church Annexation be put out for publication and a public hearing be set for January 20, 1981. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried 5-0. All members of Council had before them a copy of the ordinance for their review and files. Attorney Joss read the ordin- ance by title only and asked Council to set a date for a public hearing - suggested date January 20, 1981. Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance #710 -- Horman Church Zoning be sent out for publication and a public hearing be set for January 20, 1981. Seconded by Councilman Cummings.
