ORDINANCE NO. 669
PROPERTY SALE

APPROVAL CITY ATTORNEY
REPORT

CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT

CONSORTIUM REPORT

POST OFFICE

Minutes - page 2
January 15, 1980

All members of Council had before them a
copy of Ordinance No. 669 for their re-
view and files.
Attorney Joss presented the ordinance on
first reading by title only.

Staff pointed out that the land for sale
in surrounded by the City of Lafayette
and is no use to the City of Lousville.

Attorney Joss reported that the figure in
the ordinance is $400,000, but the actual
selling price is higher; however, it is
not necessary to put the actual figure
in but round it off. He noted that this
would not seal the price for the sale,
that would be done on the sale contract.

Mr. Wurl also noted that this property
could not be used for the expansion of
the sewer plant.

Council asked what the funds were going to
be used for, and suggested that they be
earmarked.
Mr. Wurl stated that the money was already
budgeted in the general fund.

After discussion Councilman Caranci moved
that Ordinance No. 669 be ordered pub-
lished. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo.
Motion carried.

Councilman Meier moved that the City
Attorney report be accepted and placed
on file. Seconded by Councilman Carnival.
Motion carried.

Councilman Fauson reported that he attended
his first Consortium meeting which was
mainly review of goals. He stated that
the Consortium did state that they enjoyed
having Mr. Meier or the Board in the past
also.

Mr. Wurl stated that he and Mr. Rupp had
met with the post office representatives
and nothing was done. He noted that they
are interested in staying on Main and
possibly get a mail location in the mall.
